In October 2022, the Palace of Versailles will devote a major exhibition to Louis XV for the first time on the occasion of the tercentenary of his coronation.
Nearly 400 works, including many masterpieces, some of which are on loan and presented for the first time in France, will enable the public to grasp the personality of the man behind the monarch: his childhood, his entourage, his family and his many passions. The exhibition will also reveal his attachment to the arts and his involvement in the advent of the Rocaille style in the 18th century.
