The aim of ‘En matière de motifs’ is to showcase the work of 5 textile and surface designers by presenting it in its entirety: from the creative process to the finished product.

The Musée de la Toile de Jouy showcases the printed cotton fabrics of the Manufacture Oberkampf (1760-1843) and the history of textiles.

In 2023, the ‘Motifs d'artistes’ exhibition explored the role of the first textile designers.

In collaboration with TRAME, the Museum is organising ‘En matière de motifs’, a biennial textile design exhibition featuring five designers and a guest of honour from 8 April to 1 June 2025, open to all professional textile and surface designers.
