Domaine La Bouche du Roi pays tribute to the Yvelines art of living and revives the winegrowing tradition of Île-de-France, with fresh, elegant organic wines at the gates of Versailles.

Since 2017, the first professional wine estate in Île-de-France, located 30 km from Paris, has taken root in a terroir with extraordinary geology, featuring sediments dating back more than 41 million years and over 1,300 species of shellfish and fish, reflecting a biodiversity known worldwide.

With its 27 hectares of organic vines, La Bouche du Roi is a pioneering estate in Île-de-France, set on the lands of the Kings of France. A true “northern challenge”, it crafts elegant, fresh and fruity wines that are putting Versailles back on the wine map.

130 years after the phylloxera crisis, the Île-de-France vineyard, once the largest vineyard in France, is being reborn just a short distance from the Palace of the Sun King, visible from the plots, in a charming village that was once home to Louis XIV’s favourite.

Since 2022, production has been vinified in the cellar in Davron, at the heart of the vineyards, which can be visited. The wine tourism offer has grown significantly, with immersive tours and cellar tastings. And with the arrival of the warmer days, the first rosé cuvée is ready to be enjoyed!

Practical information:
- Visits available on Sundays from June.
- Guided tours on Saturdays and public holidays.
