The Manor opens its doors to you for a unique and fascinating tour! Discover French, British, German and American military uniforms from 1870 to the present day… Over 90 life-size mannequins, fully kitted out from head to toe, await you!

The Sainte-Mesme Manor is a private residence belonging to General Louis de Lambilly and his wife, the Countess de Lambilly. The building is a rare example of 15th-century civil architecture in the Île-de-France region. It features an octagonal tower, a spiral staircase, half-timbering and French-style ceilings.

During the guided tour, you will see life-size mannequins dressed in the military uniforms of the period. The museum’s collections bring nearly two centuries of history to life. The museum’s collections consist partly of donations from visitors, family heirlooms, ceramic objects, votive offerings from the Gallo-Roman period and prehistoric flints.

Indeed, research carried out during the restoration of the manor house revealed the existence of a spring that has been in use since the Palaeolithic period. The site is believed to be situated on the site of ancient Gallo-Roman thermal baths.
