The 300th anniversary of the death of Michel-Richard de Lalande (1657-1726) has inspired the CMBV to develop an educational project with the CRR conservatories in Paris and Versailles, in collaboration with the Chantres du CMBV, to recreate two previously unpublished lyrical works.

On this occasion, the CMBV is joining forces with several educational partners, notably the early music departments of the CRR in Versailles and Paris, for the French revival of two of the composer's operas: L'Amour fléchi par la constance, a short pastoral created in Fontainebleau and performed again at the Grand Trianon in 1697, and the prologue to the Ballet de la Jeunesse, danced at and by the Court in 1686.

Young solo singers and instrumentalists, recruited through auditions, will join the Chantres du CMBV to bring this unique educational project to life, supervised by specialists in the French Baroque repertoire and conducted by Fabien Armengaud, artistic and musical director of the Maîtrise du CMBV. Music, singing, recitation, and theatricality will be at the heart of the work, based on scores restored and edited by the CMBV.
