In 1713, Louis XIV created the Ecole de Danse de l'Académie Royale de Musique: choreography was so important to the performances of both the Court and the City that an institution was finally needed to train and transmit it. Three centuries later, the Paris Opera Ballet created its Junior Ballet, which made its first stop at the Opéra Royal de Versailles.
