With *La Caravane du Caire*, André Grétry delivers a spectacular opera blending adventure, exotic settings and romance. Set in a colourful, imagined Egypt, the brave Saint-Phar embarks on a mission to rescue his beloved Zélime from a slave trader determined to sell her to the powerful Pasha.

Driven by a vibrant and energetic score, the work unfolds through dramatic twists, comic situations and lavish ballet sequences. This lyrical spectacle brings together a memorable cast of characters in a captivating theatrical vision of the Orient. Directed by the acclaimed duo Marshall Pynkoski and Hervé Niquet, renowned for their celebrated production of *Richard the Lionheart*, this revival shines new light on one of the greatest successes of 18th-century French opera.
