On 8 and 9 May, the Royal Opera House at the Palace of Versailles is opening its doors for a special tour as part of the ‘Everyone to the Opera!’ event.

During these two exclusive days, explore this exceptional venue at your leisure and free of charge, discover Baroque instruments and dance, watch singing demonstrations, and admire sumptuous stage costumes.

Inaugurated in 1770 during the reign of Louis XV, it was then the largest performance venue in Europe. Today, the Royal Opera hosts over 100 performances a year: staged operas, concert operas, recitals, theatre, ballets, and more. Step into a timeless world as you enter this architectural masterpiece.
