Hibiscus et Palissandre - Montansier creation/coproduction

The story? Hibiscus, a determined flower, sets off in search of her fiancé Pol-Érable, who has lost his way in the strange domain of Sire Palissandre.

The problem is that Sire Palissandre isn't exactly in tune with Mother Nature.

So there's only one question: how to escape?

A piccolo-opera to keep young and old alike singing! A colourful musical adventure in which the cello, soprano and tenor team up to take the audience into a world where love, nature and mystery mingle in joyful polyphony. A funny and mysterious adventure.

This all-encompassing opera, an ode to Nature and the Living, blends tradition and modernity. A fan of masked laughter (dear to Saint-Saëns playing Offenbach or Rossini in his Carnival of the Animals), composer Philippe Forget has fun here adapting some of the key works by Debussy or Mozart. Through lyrical moments and theatrical scenes full of panache and laughter, the artists will convey the grandiose energy inherited from the greatest composers.
