Designed by the heritage department of the Bibliothèque Choiseul in partnership with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
This exhibition has three main goals. First, it aims to present the major milestones in French diplomacy from the 16th to the late 18th century. It also seeks to highlight the role of ambassadors, the tools of diplomacy, and the place of diplomacy in the education and prestige of princes. Finally, all of these topics will be placed in the context of the Foreign Affairs building, linking them to the building's decor and functions, as well as creating geographical focuses related to the names of the rooms in the Gallery. The exhibition will alternate between thematic presentations and a chronological journey.
