Based in Versailles since 1984, Ryota Oishi will present a retrospective covering 40 years dedicated to the evolution of the royal city, bringing together 100 oil paintings and watercolors.

Japanese artist Ryota Oishi (Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres), born in Osaka in 1943, will present an exceptional retrospective at Le Carré à la Farine, retracing forty years of painting devoted to the evolution of the royal city, immortalizing places that have now disappeared or been profoundly transformed. His rich and varied work combines oil paintings and watercolors, revealing the picturesque character of Versailles and paying tribute to its beauty and history. Through this retrospective, visitors will be able to discover the evolution of his style and his perception of the city, from his earliest works to his most recent creations.
